Check the Care Label
Always read the care label inside the waistband before washing to confirm if the pants are machine-washable, the maximum water temperature, and whether bleach or tumble drying is prohibited.
Hand Washing Recommendations
Ideal for delicate fabrics such as wool dress trousers, corduroy, or premium blends.
Use cold or lukewarm water (≤30°C / 86°F) with a mild, neutral detergent.
Gently press and soak—do not scrub, twist, or wring, as this can cause distortion or wrinkles.
Lay flat to dry in a shaded area; avoid direct sunlight to prevent fading.
Machine Washing Recommendations
Suitable only for durable fabrics like denim or cotton casual pants.
Turn pants inside out before washing to reduce surface abrasion and color loss.
Use the “Delicate” or “Wool” cycle with water no warmer than 30°C (86°F).
Wash separately from sharp objects or mixed-color garments to avoid snags or dye transfer.
Remove promptly after the cycle ends to prevent permanent creasing.
Special Notes
Denim jeans should be washed infrequently—ideally every 3 to 5 wears—to maintain shape and color.
Dress trousers and wool pants are best dry-cleaned; frequent water washing can cause shrinkage and loss of drape.
Avoid high heat for pants containing elastane/spandex, as it can permanently damage stretch recovery.
